Drahi unveils US programming plans for Altice

Altice wants to produce French series and launch a US version of its i24 Israeli new channel, Les Echos reported, citing company owner Patrick Drahi said. Drahi, who was in New York to finalise the acquisition by Altice of Cablevision Systems, said the company will start producing original French series from next year and launch the news channel within the next 12 months. Altice will also introduce a Francophone package, made up of news channel BFM TV, for Cablevision subscribers in New York, where there are many French speakers.
