DT claims success with live Depeche Mode concert on Twitter

Deutsche Telekom has claimed a new record in streaming music concerts, after around 1.5 million people watched the concert of Depeche Mode on the release day of their new album on 17 March for Telekom Street Gigs. Fans watched on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, as well as numerous other websites, and over 100,000 watched the 360-degree live stream sponsored by Deutsche Telekom. Telekom said this was the first time a concert was broadcast worldwide on Twitter Live, and the hashtag #streetgigs trended in Twitter's top 3 in multiple countries, including the US, UK, Japan, Mexico and Germany.
