DT defends plans for VDSL expansion

Deutsche Telekom requested authorisation from the Federal Network Agency to provide an additional 5.9 million homes with fast internet by rolling out a VDSL network in Germany with download speeds of up to 100 Mbps. In response to negative industry reactions, which accused Telekom of attempting to re-monopolise the market, the provider released a statement addressing those claims.
