DT to connect 1.4 mln more households to vectoring this year

Monday 7 December 2015 | 14:31 CET | News
Another 1.4 million households in Germany will get access to VDSL vectoring before the end of the year, announced Niek Jan van Damme, the CEO of Telekom Deutschland. Customers can then surf at up to 100 Mbps and receive upload speeds up to 40 Mbps. In total, about 4.6 million households have been made vectoring-ready in 2015. Van Damme defended the choice for vectoring technology by saying that its expansion is five times faster and ten times cheaper than rolling out fibre to the premises.
