DT to start live broadcast of 3rd division football

Thursday 15 June 2017 | 10:01 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom announced an agreement with the public broadcasters ZDF and ARD on showing matches from Germany's third division football. DT secured the rights to the league from the 2018-19 season and thanks to an agreement with SportA will start its coverage a year early, from the start of the new season this July. It will show 260 matches on its EntertainTV service for customers, live and in HD. The public broadcasters have the right to show the other 120 matches free-to-air.
