Dtac's Q1 profit jumps 474%, sheds 841,000 subscribers

Tuesday 24 April 2018 | 08:29 CET | News
Telenor's Thai subsidiary Total Access Communication (Dtac) reported first-quarter revenues of THB 19 billion, which represents a decline of 3.5 percent year-on-year, due to falling service and handset revenues and interconnection rate reduction. Net profit amounted to THB 1.3 billion, increasing 474 percent year-on-year and 142 percent quarter-on-quarter, boosted by strong EBITDA growth and a one-time adjustment of provision related to disputes with CAT on revenue share, resulting in lower financial cost by THB 528 million (before tax) in the quarter.
