DTT implementation benefits some 130 mln Brazilians

The analogue TV signal will start getting switched off on 5 December in 85 municipalities across Brazil, ending the first phase of the digital TV deployment schedule. With this stage, the transition will be completed in 1,379 cities and benefit 130 million people. In this first phase, the analogue signal disconnection will be carried out in municipalities where it was necessary to release the 700 MHz band, used by the operators to offer 4G.
