DTT signal available in 70% of Panama homes

Thursday 22 March 2018 | 11:02 CET | News
Panama's public services authority ASEP announced that almost 70 percent of TV homes in the country now have access to a DTT signal, rising to 93 percent in the Panama, Panama Oeste and Colon provinces. The authority added that DTT is already available in the main cities of the Cocle, Herrera, Los Santos and Veraguas provinces, while at least 8 of the TV brands sold in the country now have a DVB-T decoder. The country is looking to implement a partial analogue TV switchoff by the end of this year and a total blackout by 2020.
