Dubai roads agency ties up with Avaya for card payments

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai, in cooperation with Avaya, has enabled credit card payments through the Payment Gateway of the RTA Call Centre. The public can now use the interactive voice response (IVR) system of the call centre to pay traffic fines, for driving licence renewals and replacements, for vehicle registration replacements, and the new Dubai Brand Vehicle Plate. The system is capable of blocking potential cyber fraud when a credit card is lost, or attempted use by an unauthorised person is detected.
