Dutch antenna numbers rise to 25,516 at end April

An update from the Dutch Antenna Bureau revealed that there were 26,516 mobile antennas in the Netherlands on 30 April, an addition of 172 from end March, including 15 UMTS and 186 LTE antenna installations. The number of GSM 1800 and GSM 900 antennas declined by 11 and 18 respectively. There are a total of 3800 masts for 1800, 9758 for 900, and 12288 for UMTS. For LTE, there are now 670 antennas, with the growth likely spurred by KPN, which began rolling out LTE 800 in February. Vodafone Netherlands is busy preparing its rollout while Tele2 Netherlands has not released any details about its
