Dutch digital advertising market reaches EUR 1.5 bln in 2015

The Dutch digital advertising market was worth EUR 1.5 billion in 2015, according to IAB Netherlands and Deloitte in their Ad Spend Study. Online advertising grew by 28 percent last year. Mobile showed the strongest growth, with an increase of 51 percent, and mobile accounted for a third of all display advertising spend. Search advertising grew by 10.5 percent. Video was increasingly sold through programmatic trading, where internet publishers deal with large groups of advertisers, the report noted. This type of sales, often fully automated through algorithms, increased by 30 percent.
