Dutch digital TV market grows to 5.26 million

The number of digital TV connections in the Netherlands grew by 3.4 percent or 174,300 net additions during the third quarter to 5.26 million on 30 September of this year, according to Telecompaper's quarterly update about the Dutch TV market. At the same time, digital TV increased its share of the entire TV market to 65.7 percent, as the total number of Dutch TV connections increased to 8.01 million on 30 September. Most consumers receive digital TV via cable networks. Cable accounted for 54.8 percent of digital TV connections, followed by satellite with 18.2 percent (down 0.9%), terrestrial
