Dutch security services AIVD and MIVD performed 3,205 and 348 taps, respectively, in 2017, according to an overview published by the security services for 2002-2017. The Ministry of Justice and Security published the tap statistics after the Council of State ruled it had to. The case was filed by Bits of Freedom.

The following are included in the tap statistics: placing a telephone tap, placing an internet tap and placing microphones. If a target is tapped in multiple ways or places, these taps are counted separately.

It is not known how many targets the services have, but the list shows an increasing number of taps. The AIVD made 1,814 taps in 2011, against 559 in 2002.
