Dutch mobile revenues fall 5.4% in Q1

The Dutch mobile industry generated revenues in the first quarter at EUR 1.37 billion, down 5.4 percent year-on-year and off 3.0 percent quarter-on-quarter, according to Telecompaper's quarterly mobile market monitor. The 5.4 percent fall widened from the year before (- 2.7%), due to the continued decline in voice revenues as well as a small annual drop in non-voice revenue (SMS and data) for the first time. Non-voice services contributed over 39.8 percent of total service revenue, compared to 38.4 percent the year earlier. For 2013, Telecompaper sees the Dutch market sliding 3-4 percent to
