Dutch regulator checks IP interconnection, plans speed test under net neutrality enforcement

The coronavirus pandemic has underlined the importance of the internet for the economy and society, according to Dutch regulator ACM in its annual report on enforcement of net neutrality regulations. The ACM said the increased use of the internet requires greater oversight on its part, but the higher traffic had not generated any major problems for networks. In 2021, the regulator plans to introduce a new system for end-users to assess the quality of their internet connections.
