Dutch report finds cybersecurity not keeping up with growing number of attacks

Cybersecurity risks have increased significantly in the Netherlands in the past year, and protection efforts are not keeping up, according to an annual report from leading public and private actors in the sector. Cyberattacks on geopolitical targets are increasingly common, including data breaches with a direct impact on democracy. Connected devices were also used several times in the past year to launch large DDoS attacks, with significant disruption the result, the report 'European Cyber Security Perspectives' found.
