Dutch TV advertising market grows 5.6% in H1

Advertising revenue on the Dutch TV market rose 5.6 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2016 to EUR 482 million, according to industry group Screenforce (the former SPOT). The growth was due in part to including online video advertising; without this, the market grew 1.7 percent. Spot advertising rose by 5.1 percent to EUR 422 million, led by online platform sales, while other types of ads generated EUR 60 million, up 10.6 percent. The report also found that average TV viewing time reached 188 minutes per day, down 3.6 percent from a year ago.
