DVB Project to contribute to new SAT>IP features, services

The DVB Project and the SAT>IP Alliance entered into a partnership under which the DVB community will contribute to the next generation of SAT>IP features and services. The SAT>IP technology is the predominant platform for indoor distribution of broadcast DVB services over domestic IP networks in Europe, the DVB consortium said in a press release. The SAT>IP protocol, standardised as Cenelec EN50585, is supported by numerous manufacturers and has been widely deployed in several markets.
