E-commerce sales in Brazil rise 37% this Christmas

Electronic commerce sales in Brazil earned BRL 5.9 billion in the Christmas period, which represents a nominal growth of 37 percent over the same period last year, reports Folhapress. A total of 15.2 million orders were placed, with an average cost of BRL 388, between 15 November and 24 December 2014, which is the period used to calculate Christmas sales. The result exceeded the initial turnover forecast of BRL 5.2 billion, according to the e-bit consultancy.
