E-news reading storms past paper press in France

More French people are reading the newspaper electronically than on paper, according to research by Fondation Dauphine. The study found that 81 percent of respondents had read the news online or on an electronic device in the previous 30 days, 71 percent on PC, 31 percent on a smartphone and 22 percent on a tablet. The study also found that 23 percent of French consumers read national dailies on the internet, 9 percent do so from a mobile phone, another 9 percent with a mobile app, 5 percent at a website using a tablet and 3 percent using a mobile app on a tablet.
