E-Plus network fault leaves customers unable to make calls

The E-Plus mobile network of Telefonica Germany experienced severe service disruption on 12 July, with several areas affected, onlinekosten.de reports. E-Plus customers were unable to make calls to the fixed-line network. Berlin was the worst affected area, with problems also reported in Leipzig, Magdeburg, Hamburg and Munich. Telefonica Germany later confirmed the problem was due to a software error at a network node.
