E-Plus runs tablet training scheme for over-60s

Friday 11 July 2014 | 10:37 CET | News
E-Plus said it began a scheme in Baltmannsweiler in Baden-Wurttemberg on 11 July together with the foundation Stiftung Digitale Chancen to familiarise people aged 60 or older with tablet PCs. The aim is to ease them into internet use, as more than half of people in the country in that age group have either seldom or never gone online. The project has the backing of Markus Grubel, Member of the Federal Parliament (CDU). Members of the public participating in the tablet training scheme will have access to devices for four weeks.
