EC extends investigation of Slovak mobile termination rates

The European Commission has opened an in-depth investigation into the proposal of the Slovak regulator RU to set the maximum price for call termination at Slovak mobile operators from January 2018. The Commission is concerned since the Slovak regulator set a termination rate for Swan Mobile higher than the rate charged by other mobile operators. In addition, the Commission is concerned that the regulator included an unprecedented mark-up for company size into the standard weighted average cost of capital formula.
