EC urges 19 member states to implement cost reduction rules

The European Commission has sent letters of formal notice to Austria and eighteen other EU countries requiring them to speed up the construction of their broadband networks, in particular the implementation of the cost reduction directive, reports Der Standard. The member states have two months for reply. Otherwise the EC may proceed to the European Court of Justice.
