EcoCash goes to court over demand to freeze accounts of agents suspected of illegal forex links

Money transfer service EcoCash is going to court over the central bank directive to freeze agent accounts, ITWeb reported. The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has directed that mobile money operators should freeze the lines of agents accused of fueling illegal foreign currency trade. EcoCash, the most popular platform, argues that the directive is inconveniencing its 11 million subscribers.
