Econet Media criticises reports on court case over Kwese TV satellite content distribution in Zimbabwe

Econet Media (Mauritius) says reports that it has lost a court case against the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) are malicious, misinformed and misplaced, 263Chat reported. The Herald had reported that the Supreme Court had ruled that Econet Media could not distribute Kwese TV satellite content in Zimbabwe because it failed to comply with the terms and conditions of its licence, but Econet Media insisted that it had never been in any court in Zimbabwe against BAZ. It said that its affiliate, Econet Media Zimbabwe, was properly licensed to distribute multimedia satellite content there
