Econet raises data and SMS bundle prices as currency weakens

Wednesday 17 July 2019 | 13:06 CET | News
Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has revised its data bundle and SMS pricing upwards by between 30 and 50 percent, in line with the prevailing economic environment. The new data tariffs came into effect on 15 July, as the value of the local currency has weakened by more than 600 percent since the last tariff increase in April. The Whatsapp weekly bundle price has risen from USD 3 inclusive of interest to USD 4.50 for 100 MB.
