Ecuador's CNT launches 4G prepay SIM for tourists

Ecuador's state-owned operator CNT has teamed up with the country's tourism ministry to launch a prepay SIM card targeted specifically at foreign visitors. The SIM card, dubbed "Chip Turista", comes with 800 MB in mobile data at 4G speeds plus unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp and the equivalent of USD 3 in calls for USD 25 per month. In addition, calls to Ecuador, the US, Canada, Colombia and Peru will be charged at USD 0.10 per minute.
