Ecuador's CNT reaches 723,000 mobile subs at end of Q1

Ecuadorian state-run telecoms operator CNT added 137,600 mobile subscribers in the first three months of the year, ending the quarter with a mobile customer base of 722,600, reports Telesemana. The operator also added 131,600 mobile broadband and 49,700 fixed broadband clients to reach a subscriber base of 534,600 and 803,700 respectively. In addition, CNT's fixed telephony and pay-TV subscriber numbers rose by a more modest 38,000 and 37,300 to 2.04 million and 307,300 respectively.
