EDPB opens consultation on draft GDPR certification rules

The newly launched European Data Protection Board (EDPB) announced the adoption of a draft version of the guidelines on certification during its first plenary meeting. The draft guidelines open the way for businesses to obtain certification for their products under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May.
