EE adds 1.4 million 4G customers in third quarter

UK mobile and broadband operator EE added 1.4 million 4G customers in the third quarter, taking its total 4G customer base to 5.6 million. Over 82 percent of EE's new postpaid customers chose 4G, a third of which opted for double speed 4GEE Extra plans. The company reported a turnover of GBP 1.59 billion, down by 2.5 percent on the third quarter of last year, and an operating revenue down 1.2 percent to GBP 1.52 billion. Excluding the impact of regulatory changes, the operating revenue was unchanged on last year. EE added 178,000 postpaid mobile lines in the third quarter, including M2M,
