All 55 Phones 4u stores bought by EE are now open for business, the operator told Mobile Today. Staff from other EE stores are working with former Phones 4u employees to ensure smooth transition before returning to their original stores. EE said "We're pleased to confirm the opening of 55 new EE stores across the country. All store staff have also transferred from P4U to join the EE team with immediate effect. We look forward to serving the local community in our new stores." EE originally announced that it was buying 58 Phones 4u stores.
