EE plans admin job cuts, to add customer service staff

Monday 20 October 2014 | 16:51 CET | News
UK mobile operator EE may cut up to 350 jobs and add sales and customer-support staff, a person familiar with the plans told Bloomberg. The positions at risk are administrative jobs, and EE is also re-evaluating its property holdings, the person said. In an e-mailed response EE said it was making changes as part of its strategy to expand its UK-based customer service teams. "We're proposing changes to some of our corporate functions. We appreciate this will be a difficult time for the staff affected," the company wrote, without giving details of the number of jobs to go.
