EFTA continues retail market element of Telenor Norway probe, drops business market scrutiny

Tuesday 25 June 2019 | 14:09 CET | News
The EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) said it has given Telenor until 13 August to comment on a Supplementary Statement of Objections (SSO) issued on 24 June on its possible abuse of a dominant market position in the mobile communications sector in Norway. ESA is now focusing on the margins available to competitors in mobile broadband services for private users, but is discontinuing the part of the probe into breakage fees/clauses in Telenor's contracts with business users, though it will maintain a close eye on market practices in this regard.
