Egypt rises to 41st in ITU regulatory performance index for 2020 from 95th in 2019

Egypt has advanced by 54 places in the latest Telecommunications Regulatory Performance Index, according to the International Telecommunication Union. Its annual report looks at the performance of telecom regulators around the world for the year 2020. Egypt's National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) now comes 41st out of 193 countries, up from 95th in 2019, and comes second in Africa, up from 19th in 2019. It reached 88.5 points out of 100 points in 2020, up from 74.5 in 2019.
