Egyptian computer ownership increases 13% in 2019

The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) says the number of Egyptian households with a computer increased by 12.73 percent to 15.58 million in 2019 from 13.82 million in 2018, reports the Daily News. A total of 13.72 million households had an internet connection in 2019 compared with 11.73 million in 2018, up by 16.96 percent, CAPMAS added. The number of households with a mobile phone rose by 7.43 percent to 25.15 million in 2019 from 23.41 million in 2018.
