Egyptian ministry works with Microsoft to train 4,500 young people in digital skills in 2021

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has announced a new collaboration with Microsoft in a Global Skills Initiative aimed at enabling young Egyptians to fill new jobs. The initiative targets 4,500 young people in 2021, including students, graduates and employees. The Global Skills Initiative uses data to identify which jobs are in demand and what skills are needed to fill them, and then provides free access to training, followed by low-cost Microsoft certifications and free employment tools to help people with new skills to pursue jobs.
