Egyptian Space Agency leads plan to manufacture mini-satellites at universities

Egypt will begin manufacturing mini-satellites in universities across the country, in a collaborative effort led the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA), the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology (ASR) and the Supreme Council of Universities, Space in Africa reported. The scheme is a pillar of the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2030 released in December by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to improve the country's competitiveness in science research and development of indigenous technologies.
