Egyptian telecom customers receive EGP 970,000 in refunds in Q4 after NTRA intervention

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) said that EGP 970,000 was refunded to communication service users in the fourth quarter of 2020 after it intervened to settle their complaints, The Daily News reported. It said 55 percent of complaints to the NTRA related to mobile calls, 7 percent related to mobile internet, and 6 percent related to charging users for unsolicited extra services. Another 3 percent related to roaming and 29 percent to incorrect claims.
