Egyptian state-owned electronics firm Katron has unveiled its first locally produced tablet PC, Ahram reported. The technical details of the device have not yet been revealed, but Katron said it plans to produce 20 million units of the 'Inar' tablet over the next four years, 10,000 smart units of which will be produced before the end of this year. The units, worth EGP 2 billion, will be manufactured over the next four years, Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Atef Helmy said.
