EIB grants EUR 125 mln to IP-Only to expand broadband provision

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing a four-year, EUR 125 million loan to IP-Only through the EFSI fund, which will contribute to 400,000 Swedish homes getting access to broadband. Three out of four residences in rural areas rely on outmoded equipment to get online, or they lack internet access altogether, said IP-Only. The provider said its open access network model lets customers pick their own supplier of services.
