EIB provides EUR 50 mln loan for French public-initiative networks

The European Investment Bank has approved a EUR 50 million loan that will be made available to the French public sector through partner banks in order to finance fibre networks in under-served areas of the country. The loan is the final tranche of EUR 600 million worth of financing agreed in 2014, of which EUR 550 million had already been approved.
