Crystal Dynamics (US), loss-making games development studio, has been acquired by Eidos, computer games company, for USDlr47.5 mil. Crystal reported a loss of around GBP1 mil in FY to 31 March 1998, on a turnover down to GBP7.6 mil, vs GBP14.7 mil in the year-earlier period. However, Eidos believes that the buy will enhance its earnings in FY to 31 March 1999.
