Eir lifts EBITDA in Q2 despite lower revenues, helped by broadband, mobile additions

Thursday 20 February 2020 | 09:32 CET | News
Irish carrier Eir reported results for its second fiscal quarter of 2020, saying EBITDA rose 4 percent year-on-year to EUR 147 million, despite a 3 percent decline in revenues to EUR 313 million. Revenues were pulled down by intense market competition and regulated wholesale pricing while the EBITDA got a boost from lower operating costs, down 9 percent (EUR 9 million) to EUR 95 million.
