Eir Q1 revenues, EBITDA climb 1 percent, weighed by sterling

Irish Telecoms group Eir reported revenue of EUR 327 million for its fiscal first quarter, up 1 percent from a year earlier and EBITDA also rose 1 percent to EUR 122 million. It said that that despite regulatory price cuts and the impact of the decline in sterling, it remains on track to meet its full-year guidance thanks to a 4 percent drop in operating costs.
