Eir reports Q2 revenue down 5%; FTTP network passes 749,000 premises

Irish telecoms company Eir has reported revenue of EUR 297 million for its second quarter ending 31 December 2020, down 5 percent or EUR 16 million, as it managed the continued drop in traditional access/voice revenues and Covid-19 related declines in sport content and roaming revenue, while supporting increased voice and data traffic. EBITDA was stable at EUR 147 million, with operating costs reduced by 5 percent or EUR 4 million to EUR 91 million.
