El Salvador, Japan sign deal to accelerate DTT switchover

El Salvador's telecommunications watchdog Siget has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan's ministry of communications to promote a transfer of knowledge for ICT development and above all to prepare for the migration to DTT in the Central American country. Under the terms of the deal, Japanese experts will next month begin training sessions for Siget staff entrusted with overseeing the process to switch off the country's analogue signal, reports elsalvador.com.
