Eliott fund eyes BRL 10 billion investment in Oi – report

Brazilian operator Oi could get a new partner in the form of US "vulture fund" Elliott Management, owned by billionaire Paul Singer, reports O Globo. According to the report's sources, representatives of the fund have been in Brasilia presenting their plans to the Brazilian government and members of the Board of Directors of Oi. During the talks, the New York-based fund said it wanted to capitalize Oi by BRL 10 billion.
