Eltel to build FTTH network for Teo in Lithuania

Lithuanian fixed operator Teo has selected network design company Eltel Networks for the fourth year implementation of the optical fibre communication lines project in the largest towns of Lithuania. Eltel will be the main partner for TEO in the implementation of the FTTH project. This will provide a possibility to use the new generation optical fibre cable with especially high, up to 300 Mbps, data transmission rate to over half of the Lithuanian population. Project is being implemented under basis of frame agreement signed already in 2006.
