Embratel to simulcast 70 channels in Ku-band from April 2022

Embratel will simulcast 70 channels in the Ku-band from April 2022, according to sales director Guilherme Saraiva, reports Teletime. To that end, the Brazilian operator will make use of the recently launched Star One D2 satellite. The TV channels will continue to be broadcast in the C-band, which should at some point of time be vacated for 5G mobile telephony services.
